It is possible that 95% of the messages and comments posted on @Twitter are from bots.

Fake accounts should not be allowed to post on Twitter. It should be possible to verify everyone in the world with either a Green Check or Orange Check in a minute or less, once in their life. Only the bots will be frustrated. I expect they will complain below quite vigorously.

If @Twitter wants to embed safety, civility, utility, integrity and beauty into the bird app they should embrace #Bitcoin and #Lightning.

Supporting #Lightning will give you a competitive advantage vs. all those exchanges and related #Bitcoin businesses that are slow to provide support for the protocol.

Twitter Ludicrous Mode?

Most of my incoming DMs seem to be bots & spam. If there was a small charge to send these messages, and a security deposit ("Orange Check") required to verify the trustworthiness of the sender, messaging would be far more useful and @Twitter would have a new source of revenue.

My @Twitter feed is full of bots that (a) don't like #bitcoin (b) don't want real people to speak (c) don't like any measures that would eliminate bots (d) want to see the world burn (e) keep screeching endlessly.
